Juana, Nangunguna Laban sa Pandemya

Women's History Month begins on March 1st, and it will be much more significant in 2021 since many of the centennial celebrations of women's suffrage in 2020 were cancelled or postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2021 National Women's Month Celebration is a tribute, a forum, and a call to action that recognizes ordinary Juanas' exceptional contributions to society as trailblazers and change agents. This festival also serves as a forum for discussing and addressing the challenges that women continue to face in order to achieve maximum empowerment. The movement also calls for meaningful, long-term, and inclusive gender equality acts. Also this month, we'll be sharing inspiring stories to salute the countless women making an impact in their communities, their nation, and the world

Since then, the Women's Month Celebration has acted as a forum for celebrating women's accomplishments and discussing ongoing and evolving women's empowerment and gender equality problems, concerns, challenges, and commitments. The commemoration focuses on specific actions that are in line with national and international instruments and treaties including the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, the Beijing Platform for Action, the Philippine Plan for Gender-Responsive Development (1995-2025), the Framework Plan for Women, and the Sustainable Development Goals.
